Design of a remote queueing app

The brief

To create a free-to-use-with-no-registration-requirement application to enable people to join a queue remotely, negating the need to stand in line for hours. This was particularly pertinent during the global pandemic/lockdown.

The challenge

To design, develop and deploy the app in six weeks, including a supporting website for consumers (to link app download, search for and join any queue that the app supports) and business (to use the app to set up and manage their own queues).

The solution

A ticket number was generated along with a second image verification unique to the user, as well as a notification so users could be granted entry when displayed to door staff.

This application involved rapid UX prototypes tested remotely with candidates and then designed, along with the name and branding into a final hi-fidelity version prior to final development, build, testing and successful deployment to the App Store and Google Play.

Quu initial wires built in Axure into a clickable prototype.
